The Nights With a Cat anime series has announced that it will continue with season 3. Two special visuals featuring the main cat character Kyuruga have been released as well.
The main cast Ayahi Takagaki, Satoshi Hino, and Atsumi Tanezaki will be reprising their roles as Kyuruga, Fuuta, and Pi-chan respectively. As the new season announcement was also made in conjunction with Japan’s Cat Day observance, a compilation of episodes 51 to 60 of the anime will be released on YouTube for free.
The anime is based on a manga by Kyuryu Z. It has been serialized since 2019 by Kadokawa Shoten’s Comic Bridge and currently has 5 volumes. Yen Press licensed the manga, describing the plot as:
When Fuuta comes home tired at night, all he wants to do is spend time with his new cat. All the mysterious habits and mannerisms of house cats are carefully reproduced in this relaxed and cute comedy about living with an adorable furball!
The first season of the Nights With a Cat aired from August to September 2022 for 16 episodes then continued as an original net animation series on YouTube from October 2022 to January 2023. Meanwhile, the second season aired from March to November 2023. Studio Puyukai animated the series under the direction of Minoru Ashina. The rest of the staff included:
