This was part of a wave of announcements coming at the first direct for the next-gen console as Nintendo rides the momentum of the incredible success of the original Switch, which sold over 139 million units worldwide and revived several of its core franchises. The company is clearly aiming to replicate that the Switch 2, using a strong lineup of first-party titles to drive early adoption. Another major announcements was The Duskbloods, a new title developed by FromSoftware (Dark Souls, Elden Ring).

Other games coming to the console include:

  • Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition
  • Hades 2
  • Street Fighter 6
  • Hogwarts Legacy
  • James Bond 007
  • Bravely Default: Flying Fairy
  • Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut
  • Borderlands 4

The first Nintendo Switch 2 direct presentation was a strong debut for the console, showcasing its upgraded capabilities and broader third-party support. You can see our full recap of its first direct for more updates.
