Noragami creator duo Adachitoka will launch a new manga titled Yadoya no Oinu-sama in the November 2026 issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine. The issue will go on sale in Japan on October 6.
The announcement describes the series as a story about a girl who suddenly returns to an extraordinary world. Sumire Kurose, a middle school student who grew up surrounded by nature, is sent tumbling down a mountain following an unexpected incident during a school trip.
The promotional image also shows several of the characters and settings, with text teasing Sumire’s return to a non-ordinary world and her encounter with a mysterious girl.
Yadoya no Oinu-sama marks Adachitoka’s new serialization following Noragami, which concluded in Monthly Shonen Magazine in January 2024 after more than a decade of serialization. There are also 3 ‘extra’ volumes published as Noragami: Stray Stories, featuring a collection of short side stories. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English.
The Noragami anime adaptation by BONES aired its first 12-episode season from January to March 2014, while the 13-episode second season Noragami Aragoto aired from October to December 2015. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime, describing the story:
Yato may just be a minor god now, but he’s determined to make it big and he’s got a plan. Unfortunately, things just don’t seem to be going his way. He doesn’t have a single shrine dedicated to him, his partner has just quit, and now he’s got to find a new divine weapon. Just when things look bleak, he meets a girl named Hiyori and changes her life forever.
