One Piece Live-Action Season 2 Announced

The ONE PIECE live-action season 2 has been officially announced in a message from Eiichiro Oda himself. Previously, the producers said that the scripts for a second season are already ready and that production could last between 12 to 18 months after the SAG-AFTRA strike ends. However, in the official announcement, Oda states that it will take some time to prepare the scripts and that the crew now needs a doctor. Watch the announcement:

The live-action series has Matt Owens (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Luke Cage) and Steven Maeda (The X-Files, CSI: Miami, Lost) serving as writers, executive producers, and showrunners. The creator, Eiichiro Oda, is also among the show’s executive producers.
