One Piece Live-Action Season 2 Announces Cast Additions for Dragon, Ipponmatsu and Igaram

Season 2 of the ONE PIECE live-action revealed more cast additions, with today’s reveal featuring the actors for Dragon, Igaram and Ipponmatsu. They revealed the actors for Miss Goldenweek, K.M. and Chess yesterday. Netflix will again be streaming the series. The latest additions include:

  • Rigo Sanchez as Dragon
  • Yonda Thomas as Igaram
  • James Hiroyuki Liao as Ipponmatsu
  • Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek
  • Anton David Jeftha as K.M.
  • Mark Penwill as Chess

The live-action series has Matt Owens (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Luke Cage) and Steven Maeda (The X-Files, CSI: Miami, Lost) serving as writers, executive producers, and showrunners. The creator, Eiichiro Oda, is also among the show’s executive producers and consistently confirms he is deeply involved.

The first season made its debut on August 31, and it topped Netflix’s global English TV Ranking with 18.5 million total views, 140.1 million hours viewed and an average runtime of 7:34 hours. It kept its top spot in the 2nd week as well, marking a huge success for the adaptation.

The producers previously said that the sequel’s production could last between 12 to 18 months after the SAG-AFTRA strike ended. The strike ended on November 9, 2023, while the second season officially began production on July 1, 2024. The first look at Chopper and Drum Island was recently revealed, along with a bunch of other behind-the-scenes teasers.
