Netflix’s ONE PIECE live-action TV series has officially confirmed a third season, alongside the world-first look at the upcoming Season 2, officially set to premiere in 2026. You can check out the first footage of ONE PIECE Season 2 below.

ONE PIECE Season 3 was expected following an official entry on the Writers Guild of America website and unofficial confirmation by Mr. 0’s Joe Manganiello. The news was officially confirmed on August 10, 2025, the second of two ONE PIECE DAYs held in Japan.

ONE PIECE Season 1 was a major hit for Netflix, topping its viewing charts globally. Confirming a third season before Season 2’s premiere demonstrates major faith from Netflix in the live-action’s potential. Netflix also made waves recently in the live-action space with the acquisition of Solo Leveling, following major streaming success as an anime.

ONE PIECE adapts Eiichiro Oda’s best-selling manga of the same name, published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. It’s available to read on VIZ Media’s Shonen Jump app and MANGA Plus, the latter of which describes the series:

As a child, Monkey D. Luffy was inspired to become a pirate by listening to the tales of the buccaneer “Red-Haired” Shanks. But Luffy’s life changed when he accidentally ate the Gum-Gum Devil Fruit and gained the power to stretch like rubber…at the cost of never being able to swim again! Years later, still vowing to become the king of the pirates, Luffy sets out on his adventure…one guy alone in a rowboat, in search of the legendary “One Piece,” said to be the greatest treasure in the world…
