The upcoming Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom movie has new art by illustrator Tokihito Saiga. The movie began early IMAX screenings in Japan on September 13. It will premiere nationwide on September 20 in Japan and is coming to North America on November 8.
Naoyuki Ito is directing the movie at studio MADHOUSE, with Satoshi Tasaki as character designer and chief animation director. Yukie Sugawara is working on the script. Shuji Katayama is composing the music. Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom movie will see the return of OxT with a new theme song “WHEELER-DEALER”:
The third movie in the Overlord franchise will adapt Volumes 12-13 of the light novel. The arc was not included in the fourth season but events from it should have taken place around the 8th episode. The first two movies are recaps of the first and second seasons of the anime. They are titled The Undead King and The Dark Hero. Both came out in 2017.
