The Japanese anime clothing brand Palude announced the release of a Yu Yu Hakusho “Ugly Sweater” collection that features the main characters of the series. The collaboration features five designs that embody the 90s nostalgia and flashy holiday aesthetics with the anime’s themes. Palude describes the acrylic sweaters as something cool to wear this Christmas and winter season. They also tease that, as soon as the sweaters are worn, the wearer would feel “strong.”

The Yu Yu Hakusho “Ugly Sweater” collection is available for pre-orders until September 4. Each sweater costs about 14,300 Yen (~98 USD). The sweaters are scheduled to be shipped worldwide in November. Visit Palude’s website for more photos and information.
Palude, the apparel division of Knit Factory, is an anime/game-themed apparel brand that values fun, comfortable, and easy room wear. They have previously produced “fluffy” products with That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Attack on Titan, The Quintessential Quintuplets, and many more. An upcoming “Ugly Sweater” collaboration with Gintama has also been teased.
Yu Yu Hakusho (Ghost Files) is a manga by Yoshihiro Togashi. The series was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1990 to 1994 with a total collection of 175 chapters and 19 tankobon volumes. Studio Pierrot produced an anime adaptation of the series that ran from 1992 to 1994 with 112 episodes. The series has multiple movies and OVAs. A live-action series by Netflix is also set to premiere in December 2023. The anime is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes the plot:
