Pon No Michi Sweet Style Pop-Up Shop Announced

Craving something sweet during the summer heat? Or maybe you’re just feeling self-destructive and wanna raise your blood sugar. Well, the upcoming Pon No Michi Sweet Style Pop-up shop has you covered! All you need to do is buy a ticket to Japan (or hop on a train if you already live there) and head to either the 8th floor of Yurakucho Marui, Anisugar Atre Akihabara Store, or Anisugar Nakano Store. But you have to head there between April 27 to May 12.

While there, you can satisfy an empty stomach and lonely heart by buying merch featuring your favorite Pon No Michi girl in a cheongsam-style dress. And in this day and age, having a cute waifu is a necessary coping mechanism to fight off the ills of modern-day existence.

While all Pon No Michi Sweet Style Pop-up shop participating stores will have exclusive lotteries or bonuses, you can buy the following at all locations;

Getting into the exclusive stuff. Because let’s be honest, having something most people can’t have is good for the soul. Yurakucho Marui’s limited merch will include B2 tapestries and A3 clear posters. Plus, if you spend more than ¥ 3000 (~ 20 USD), you’re entered in a lottery to win a random postcard or character art.

At Anisugar Arte, you can get your grubby little hands on an acrylic stand featuring all 5 girls or an A3 poster. And if you spend more than ¥ 2000 (~ 14 USD), congrats!! You get a FREE character card.

Anisugar’s Nakano Base location removes the guesswork and frustration that comes with random gifts by letting you choose your very own Pon No Michi poster with any purchase of a dessert and drink.

Pon No Michi is a show about hot waifus doing bugger-all that is passed off as a mahjong anime. Centered around Nashiko Jippensha. A girl so boisterous that she got kicked out of her home. After being shoved out the door, she has the option of either going back home and being quiet or causing a ruckus elsewhere.

Realizing a life without loud noises and ear damage is more important than getting along, she sets up shop at her dad’s old mahjong parlor. And, seemingly unaware that she can buy a PS5 and make friends while hurling profanity at other players. She instead delves into the world of mahjong and gains a few friends because of that times cherished game.
