The official Twitter account for Pop Team Epic revealed that the 2nd season of the show will premiere in October 2022. The sequel was announced last December, three years after Season 1, and there is still no information about which studio will take care of the production as of yet.

Pop Team Epic is an adaptation of a comedy manga written and illustrated by Bkub Okawa. The series depicts slapstick comedy and crude humor. Kamikaze Douga (known for animating JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure opening themes) and Space Neko Company (Ore, Tsushima) animated the first season. Each episode includes short skits following the adventures of the quirky and, at times, obnoxious characters.
