Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time Light Novel Gets Anime Adaptation

The Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time light novel series is getting an anime adaptation by Studio Comet, slated to premiere in January of 2025. The teaser trailer, featuring Takumi (voiced by Shogo Sakata) and Goddess Norn (Sora Amamiya) is now out:

Naoyuki Kuzuya will be directing the Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time anime adaptation with Sayaka Anezaki as the character designer. Mitsutaka Hirota is in charge of the series composition. Hiroshi Nakamura is composing the music.

The anime will adapt the Izure Saikyou no Renkinjutsu Shi? light novel series written by Kogitsunemaru and illustrated by Hitogome. The novel, which was originally published as a web novel, has been serialized since 2018 by AlphaPolis. Manga adaptation with art by Taro Sasakama has also been serialized since 2018.

Alpha Manga is publishing the manga in English and describes the plot as:
Not even a hero, Takumi Iruma gets accidentally mixed in with a group of heroes chosen to be summoned to another world. As compensation for the mix-up, a goddess offers him the right to choose any skill he wishes for! Hoping for a peaceful and quiet life that has nothing to do with fighting or going into battle, he chooses a seemingly boring creation skill. However, it turns out “alchemy” is the most powerful skill that allows him to create everything from a holy sword to flying ships! This cheat skill he unexpectedly acquired turns him into a wealthy merchant and makes him undefeatable in battles! A heartwarming adventure story about (possibly) the most powerful alchemist in another world!
