Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3 has revealed the first trailer for Part 2 titled Counterattack Arc. The first part of the third season concluded with Episode 8 on November 20, while the second part is scheduled to begin on February 5, 2025. It will also run for 8 episodes. Studio WHITE FOX is back to animate Re:ZERO Season 3, which premiered with a 90-minute special episode on October 2. It is directed by Masahiro Shinohara, with Haruka Sagawa as the character designer/chief animation director, Masahiro Yokotani on the series composition, and Kenichiro Suehiro on the music. We got to interview some of the Re:ZERO Season 3 staff, including the director and character designer, as well as Subaru’s Japanese voice actor Yusuke Kobayashi.
The new season is divided into 2 parts:
- Attack Arc (8 episodes)
- Counterattack Arc (8 episodes, begins on February 5, 2025)
Re:ZERO Season 3 Episode 9 Preview
Re:ZERO Season 3 Episode 9 will be the first episode of Part 2, and it is titled “Chaotic City.” The synopsis is described:
To reclaim Emilia, Subaru and Reinhard head to confront Regulus, the Sin Archbishop of Greed. Besides that:
- Priscilla and Liliana head to the Fourth District to face the Sin Archbishop of Wrath,
- Garfiel and Wilhelm head to the First District to confront the Sin Archbishop of Lust, and
- Julius and Ricardo head to the Second District to battle the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony.
Thus begins the coordinated assault on the four control towers. Meanwhile, Otto, acting alone to retrieve the Book of Wisdom, encounters the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony in the city.
The Re:ZERO light novel by Tappei Nagatsuki first started on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in April 2012. The light novel version began in January 2014, featuring illustrations by Shin’ichiro Otsuka. Both are currently ongoing. The first season of the TV anime adaptation ran for 25 episodes from April to September 2016. Season 2 followed with 2 split cours, which aired through the Summer 2020 and Winter 2021 anime seasons.
