Rie Takahashi Announces Solo Music Artist Debut on Her 27th Birthday

The popular voice actress Takahashi Rie has announced that she will debut as a solo music artist!!

Rieri gave herself and all her fans a present for her 27th birthday last Saturday, February 27th. She has already shared a teaser video to set the expectations:

Takahashi tweeted that she chose to take on this challenge to further grow as a voice actress. She asks her fans to watch over her warmly.

She will release her first single by the A-Sketch/Astro Voice label this spring.

Rie Takahashi Official Fan Club to open this April

In addition, she also announced the opening of her official fan club, “Takahashiritsu Riekoukou” (Riekou) this April 15th. Here, she will be the homeroom teacher and principal who will refer to her fans as “students.”

Official fan club activities include updates from Takahashi such as letters and her latest schedule. Monthly voice recordings, monthly illustrations, fan mail, birthday messages await members. Takahashi plans to add more activities soon.

Riekou open on April 15th. Access to the official Rie Takahashi fan club is available upon purchase of a special badge-shaped PLAYBUTTON audio player. This will be available on March 1 at 6:00pm JST.

Rie Takahashi’s seiyuu and idol career

Prior to her solo music debut announcement, Rie Takahashi is also a member of the seiyuu idol unit Earphones. Together with Yuki Nagaku and Marika Kouno, Earphones, also the trio from the anime series “Sore ga Seiyuu” (Seiyu’s Life), released three albums under EVIL LINE RECORDS since its formation in 2015.

She is best known as the voice actress for Megumin of KonoSuba, Emilia of Re:Zero, and Sumi of Rent-a-Girlfriend,
