The preview images and staff for episode 4 of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 were revealed on Monday. The upcoming episode titled “The Operation to Capture the Spear Hero” will be released on Friday, October 27. Crunchyroll is streaming the series with English subtitles. The whereabouts of Motoyasu, the Spear Hero, has been confirmed and Naofumi is asked by Queen Mirellia to persuade him. Leaving Eclair in charge of the territory, Naofumi heads off to find Motoyasu, but an uninvited guest arrives. Then, in the town where Motoyasu is staying, he encounters an unexpected person…!?
Takao Abo directed Season 1 of the series at Kinema Citrus, which ran for a total of 25 episodes in 2019. Studio DR Movie helped co-produce Season 2 with Masato Jinbo as its director and ran for 13 episodes. Now the series is back with Hitoshi Haga directing the new season at Kinema Citrus alongside Keigo Koyanagi who is handling the script and series composition.

Learning that other nations are enduring the Calamity Waves, Naofumi vows to fight. But before he can begin, word comes that the massive Spirit Tortoise is free.
