Takao Abo directed the first season of the series at Kinema Citrus, which ran for a total of 25 episodes in 2019. Studio DR Movie helped co-produce Season 2 with Masato Jinbo as its director and ran for 13 episodes. Now the series is back with Hitoshi Haga directing The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 at Kinema Citrus alongside Keigo Koyanagi who is handling the script and series composition.
