The preview and main staff for Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Disturbance (Season 2) episode 16 were revealed on Tuesday. The new episode titled “The Ten Swords Summoned” will be released on Thursday, January 30. The season is now in its second cour. Studio LIDENFILMS is handling the animation production while Crunchyroll is streaming the anime. Check out the preview below:

Episode 16 synopsis:
Kenshin gives Seijuro, who was fatally wounded, medicine to keep him from dying. Meanwhile, at Shishio’s base, following Uonuma-Usui, who possesses “mind’s eye,” Kamatari, a female scythe wielder, Saizuchi, an old man with a huge head and short stature, and his partner, the giant Fuji, arrive at the base. The Ten Swords and Aoshi gather together. Shishio then declares in front of them that he will carry out the Great Fire of Kyoto tomorrow night.

Yuki Komada is the director for Rurouni Kenshin Season 2. He is joined by Yoshitaka Makino, who is working as the assistant director. Hideyuki Kurata and Kaoru Kurosaki have reprised their roles from last season as they’re handling the series composition and script.
