BLUE LOCK Season 2 revealed the preview for Episode 10, which will finally show Sae Itoshi and Rysuei Shido playing together. The episode is titled “Shift in Dynamics” and premieres on Saturday, December 7. Studio 8bit is animating, with Crunchyroll streaming the anime with English subtitles. The synopsis for the episode is described:
In the second half of the match, Shido steps onto the field as the center forward for the U-20 Japan team. Focused solely on scoring his own goals, Shido disrupts the players on the field, both teammates and opponents alike, with his erratic movements. To make things even worse, Sendo synchronizes with Shido’s plays, revitalizing the U-20 Japan team’s offense. Their attack, now entirely different from the first half, swiftly drives the ball to the goal area.

Receiving the ball just outside the penalty box is Sae. Expecting Sae to take the shot directly, the BLUE LOCK eleven brace themselves, but…

The anime recently revealed a new key visual and trailer for the BLUE LOCK vs U-20 JAPAN arc/match. In addition, it was announced that the final two episodes will release back-to-back on December 28.

Muneyuki Kaneshiro writes the BLUE LOCK manga, with art by Yusuke Nomura. Kodansha is publishing the manga in English. The story follows BLUE LOCK, the project to create the ultimate egoistical striker that will take Japan to a World Cup trophy.

We had the chance to interview Kazuki Ura (Isagi’s Japanese voice actor), Ryoya Arisawa (anime producer), and Megumu Tsuchiya (manga editor) at this year’s Anime Expo. We talked with them about working on the manga and anime series, the challenges they faced in creating the work loved by fans worldwide, as well as what to expect from the ongoing Season 2.
