Scenes From Awajima anime revealed a new visual featuring two additional cast members. The characters featured are Katsurako Ibuki (voiced by Ayumi Tsunematsu) and Emi Okabe (voiced by Natsumi Fujiwara). The anime will premiere in April 2026.

Madhouse (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s EndOrb: On the Movements of the Earth) is animating the series with Morio Asaka (Cardcaptor Sakura) as director. Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) writes the scripts, Kunihiko Hamada (My Love Story With Yamada-kun at Lv999) designs the characters, and Takahiro Obata (Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary) composes the music. The main cast includes:

Scenes From Awajima anime is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Takako Shimura. It began serialization on Ohta Publishing’s PocoPoco website in June 2011, where it stayed until 2016. It was then moved to the Ohta Web Comic website in July of the same year. The final chapter was released in March 2024. The manga received a Manga Excellence Award during the 19th Japan Media Arts Festival held in 2015. Yen Press is licensing the manga in English, describing the story as:
Awajima Opera School—where countless girls from across the country flock in hopes of one day standing on the big stage. As they work toward achieving their dreams of stardom, their time at Awajima is filled with as much friendship and admiration as competition and jealousy.
