On June 11, 2021, the official website of the upcoming “Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles” anime released a new promotional video and key visual! Moreover, it features the anime’s opening song titled “New Story”. Marika Kouno is the one who performed the song.

According to the anime’s official Twitter account, the new promotional video depicts the suffering of Rio. Furthermore, the ending song of the anime is titled “Elder Flower” by Aguri Ōnishi. The anime is set to premiere on July 5, 2021.

What is Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles?
In case you didn’t know, “Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles” is a Japanese light novel series by Yuri Kitayama. Hobby Japan started publishing it in October 2015. The novel is ongoing and currently has 19 volumes.
What’s more, the same publisher started to publish a manga adaptation on Comic Fire magazine in October 2016. However, it stopped running due to the artist’s poor health. Luckily, a second manga adaptation of it under the same publisher started serializing in the same magazine in July 2017. The manga is still ongoing and currently has 5 volumes.
An anime adaptation of the series will air on July 5, 2021. TMS Entertainment will take care of its production.
The Synopsis of the Story:
Meet Rio: a callous orphaned boy living in the slums. At only 7-years-old, he realizes he’s actually the reincarnation of Haruto Amakawa, a Japanese university student with a tragic past.
While still reeling from this shocking epiphany, Rio also comes to learn that he possesses extremely potent magical abilities and uses his new powers to solve the kidnapping case of a little girl.
His good deed is acknowledged, and he’s rewarded by being enrolled into… a prestigious academy for noble children…?
