Shangri-La Frontier anime revealed a trailer for the second cour, alongside new theme songs and broadcast dates for January. The anime is continuing on January 7 with episode 14, which will be followed by a special program on January 14 and a new episode on January 21. New theme songs are:
- Opening: “Danger Danger” by FZMZ feat. icy (featured in the trailer)
- Ending: “Gajumaru ~Heaven in the Rain~” by ReoNa
C2C is animating the adaptation of the manga written by Katarina and illustrated by Ryosuke Fuji. The manga is adapting the web novel by Katarina – the novel doesn’t have an official release. Toshiyuki Kuboka is directing with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu on the series composition. Ayumi Kurashima is in charge of the character designs. The main cast includes:

Shangri-La Frontier anime premiered on October 1: before the premiere, it revealed a prologue trailer. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the plot as:
Rakuro Hizutome only cares about one thing: beating bad VR games. He devotes his entire life to these buggy games and could clear them all in his sleep. One day, he decides to challenge himself and play a popular god-tier game called Shangri-La Frontier. But he quickly learns just how difficult it is. Will his expert skills be enough to uncover its hidden secrets?
