The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 revealed a new key visual, featuring Naofumi and his friends who are battling Kyo. Kinema Citrus and DR Movie are animating the second season of the hit anime, which is currently on its 6th episode. New cast addition has also been revealed – Miyu Tomita as Kizuna Kazayama.
Character art for Kizuna Kazayama was also revealed. Kizuna will have her debut in episode 7:
Season 2 of The Rising of the Shield Hero anime adaptation premiered in April of this year, after being delayed. It was originally scheduled for October 2021 premiere. Masato Jinbo is directing the second season, with Keigo Koyanagi on series composition. Masahiro Suwa is credited for character designs. Kevin Penkin returned to compose the music. The anime is based on a light novel series written by Aneko Yusagi and illustrated by Minami Seira.

Iwatani Naofumi, a run-of-the-mill otaku, finds a book in the library that summons him to another world. He is tasked with joining the sword, spear, and bow as one of the Four Cardinal Heroes and fighting the Waves of Catastrophe as the Shield Hero. Excited by the prospect of a grand adventure, Naofumi sets off with his party. However, merely a few days later, he is betrayed and loses all his money, dignity, and respect. Unable to trust anyone anymore, he employs a slave named Raphtalia and takes on the Waves and the world. But will he really find a way to overturn this desperate situation?
