The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 10 preview video was released on the official KADOKAWAAnime Youtube channel on Monday—preview images were also released on the official site. After giving fans an emotional goodbye back in episode 8, Raphtalia looks to join forces with L’Arc, Glass, and Therese to escape the prison they’ve been taken to in this week’s upcoming episode!

Looks like fans are going to be receiving some solid action this week as Raphtalia is determined to escape prison by any means necessary. And with Kazuki standing in the way of Raphtalia teaming up with L’Arc, Glass, and Therese, some solid fight scenes are definitely on the way. But most importantly, with episode 10 being titled “Katana Hero”, and seeing as how Raphtalia seems to have come in contact with a katana vassal weapon, fans might be looking at the new Katana Hero in Raphtalia. But as always, it’s how these events unfold that will make an episode interesting or not. With the big turnaround, this season has seen since episode 5, it’s safe to say we’re in store for another good episode this week.
Hirata Takahiro (episode 2) will direct and storyboard episode 10. Kota Sera (episodes 2, 4, 6-8) will return this week alongside Masahiro Suwa (episodes 3, 7-9) as the chief animation directors. Keigo Koyanagi will remain the scriptwriter.
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 is now a consistent top-10 anime in our polls during the second half of the Spring 2022 season! The series has now managed to remain in the top-10 for the last four weeks, including #7 in our latest poll.
