Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Announced, New Story Focusing On Sung Jin-Woo's Son

Solo Leveling is getting a new story by the original author titled Solo Leveling: Ragnarok focusing on Sung Jin-Woo’s son, Sung Jin-Ho, and it will premiere on April 10. The original webtoon ended after 179 episodes in December 2021. The announcement for the new story was made on KakaoPage’s official YouTube channel, and you can check it out below:

The original author of Solo Leveling, Chugong, will write the story, while the artist is yet to be announced. The original artist DUBU, who was also the CEO of Redice Studio, unfortunately passed away in July last year. A Solo Leveling side story drawn by a group of artists in his honor also began releasing in January.

Besides the new story, Solo Leveling has a new game coming. Developed by the Korean game developer Netmarble, it will be a single-player RPG action game, promising a fun experience, with cinematic battle scenes which will mirror the webtoon style. You can watch the teaser trailer:

Solo Leveling Anime

There’s also the highly anticipated Solo Leveling anime adaptation. Animated by A-1 Pictures, the anime is scheduled for Winter 2024. It will be directed by Shunsuke Nakashige, with Noboru Kimura on screenplay, Tomoko Sudo as the character designer and Hiroyuki Sawano on the music. You can watch the trailer below:

Solo Leveling web novel by Chugong started serialization in 2016 and ended in 2018, after 270 chapters compiled into 14 volumes. The webtoon adaptation of the web novel with art by Jang-Sung-Rak (aka DUBU) of Redice Studio ended in December of 2021. H-goon helped adapt the work that originally started on KakaoPage in Korea and has 2 seasons.

The webtoon adaptation by DUBU (Redice Studio) ran for 179 episodes and is available in English on Webnovel, Tappytoon, PocketComics, Tapas and Yen Press. Yen Press describes the story:
