The Spy x Family and Death Note: Short Stories manga have been ranked among New York Times’ best-selling graphic books and manga for June this year. Spy x Family’s first volume ranked fourth while Death Note‘s collection of stories ranked twelfth. It is also worth noting that the fourth volume of the popular webtoon series Solo Leveling was ranked 15th on the list.
Spy x Family previously had its fourth and first volumes ranked 5th and 7th on the May best-seller list. During that month, Chainsaw Man’s volume 10 and Jujutsu Kaisen’s volume 15 ranked second and third respectively.
The popular action-comedy manga by Tatsuya Endo has been recently nominated for the 2022 Will Eisner Comic Awards under the category Best U.S. Edition of International Material—Asia. The huge popularity of Spy x Family has been attributed to the ongoing anime series animated by WIT Studio and Cloverworks.
