Strike the Blood Final Begins on March 30, New Key Visual Revealed

The previously announced Strike the Blood Final has released a new key visual. On the same day, they also revealed the information about the new cast and ending song on the Dengeki Bunko Winter Festival 2021. The fifth and final chapter of the series begins on March 30, 2022. The additional cast includes Megumi Han and she will play the role of the new character Ladli Ren. Risa Taneda (Yukina Himeragi) will perform the ending theme of the series titled Engagement: Yakusoku. Risa Taneda (Yukina Himeragi) and Yoshimasa Hosoya (Kojou Akatsuki) are coming back to voice the protagonists of the series. Asami Seto (Asagi Aiba), Ikumi Hayama (Sayaka Kirasaka), Hisako Kanemoto (Natsuki Minamiya), Yuka Iguchi (Astarte), Kanae Itou (Kanon Kanase), Ryouta Oosaka (Motoki Yaze), Rina Hidaka (Nagisa Akatsuki), Saori Ōnishi (La Folia Rihavein), Sayaka Senbongi (Yuiri Haba), Kaede Hondo (Shio Hikawa), Misaki Watada (Glenda), Yukiyo Fuji (Kiriha Kizaki), and Saya Aizawa (Kazugaya Shizuri Castiella) are also returning to voice the main characters of the show.

Strike the Blood Final Blu-ray/DVD volume 1 will be released on March 30, while the second volume will be on June 29, 2022. You can also watch the trailer for Strike the Blood Final below:

The story of Strike the Blood Final will still focus on the lives of Yukina Himeragi and Kojou Akatsuki as their battle against the MAR chief and the search for Avrora Florestina continues.

About Strike the Blood

Strike the Blood anime first aired from Fall 2013 to Winter 2014 had a total of 25 episodes. Later on, a 2-episode OVA titled Strike the Blood: Valkyria no Ōkoku-hen aired in Fall 2015. The 2 episodes per 2 months across Blu-ray/DVD format started with Strike the Blood II, which aired from November 2016 to May 2017 and had a total of 8 episodes. Strike the Blood III aired from December 2018 to September 2019 (10 episodes). Another OVA titled ‘Strike the Blood: Kieta Seisō-hen was released in January 2020. Strike the Blood IV recently finished airing on June 30, 2021 and had a total of 12 episodes.

ASCII Media Works serialized Gakuto Mikumo’s Strike the Blood light novel series from May 2011 to August 2020. The light novel has a total of 22 volumes with 2 more side stories. The same publisher also published a manga adaptation by Tate and it had a total of 10 volumes available. Yen Press is currently publishing Strike the Blood light novel series in English. Strike the Blood Final will adapt the 22nd and final volume of the light novel series.

The fourth Progenitor is the most powerful vampire once thought to exist only in the world of legends. Yet when it appears in Japan, the government for some reason chooses an apprentice “sword shaman”, Yukina Himeragi, to observe and obliterate it. Bewildered by the disproportionate task and its specific details, Yukina arrives at the Demon District of Itogami-jima to watch Akatsuki Kojo, and a student at a private high school on Itogami-jima.
