The anime adaptation of Summer Pockets has revealed the opening video, revealing an April 2025 release date. Studio feel. is animating the adaptation, with Tomoki Kobayashi directing. The anime was announced in 2021, while it revealed the first information in July 2024. It will run for 2 consecutive cours.
Konomi Suzuki performs both theme songs for the anime. The ending theme song will be “Lasting Moment,” while you can hear the opening theme song “ALKA TALE” in the video below.
The voice cast for the Summer Pockets anime includes:

Besides the director Tomoki Kobayashi, the main anime staff for Summer Pockets includes Keiichiro Ochi on the series composition and Mai Otsuka as the character designer. Summer Pockets anime is adapting the visual novel by Key/VISUAL ARTS. It was released in Japan in 2018, while it became available to international audiences on Steam in February 2020. To help manage his recently deceased grandmother’s effects, the protagonist Takahara Hairi travels to Torishirojima during his summer vacation.
As he gets off the ferry boat, he spots a lone girl standing on the pier.
A girl who simply gazes into the distance as her long hair flutters in the wind.
He looks at the girl in utter bewilderment, but before he realizes it, she can no longer be found anywhere.
Hairi finds himself starting to adjust to life on this island, surrounded by nature far lusher than anything he has ever come across back in the city.
Time seems to flow by casually on this island, and as it does, memories of something nostalgic keep coming back to him…
Memories of something he had long forgotten.
