Fuse writes the Tensura light novel series, with illustration by Mitz Vah. The anime is adapting the manga, which is drawn by Taiki Kawakami. The TV anime adaptation by studio 8bit began in October 2018, with the first season until March 2019. The second season was released through 2 split cours in Winter 2021 and Summer 2021. The third one began in April and concluded with Episode 24 on September 27, 2024. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime.

The story follows Rimuru, former corporate salaryman Mikami Satoru who got isekaid and reincarnated as a slime. He ended up getting some rather overpowered skills, which have gotten him to the point of founding his own nation and trying to make peace for all monsters in the new world. However, there are multiple people who see him as a threat, and he will do everything to protect himself and his new-found friends from foes, regardless from which world they come from.
