The upcoming 100 Girlfriends Blu-rays will include special store-exclusive merchandise and Blu-ray-inclusive kawaii visuals of the Rentaro family girls.

The anime adaption of Yukiko Nozawa’s The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY, Love You! aired between October 8th and December 24th of last year. The show is currently streaming via Crunchyroll and was animated by Bibury Animation Studios. A 2nd anime season was confirmed immediately after the first season finale.

The show revolves around the life of Rentarou Aijou, an unfortunate individual who desires nothing more than snuggles. However, fate graced him solely with struggles. Dealing with the pain of multiple rejections, he heads to a match-making shire. While there, he laments on his lot in life and is informed by the shrine’s resident deity that soon love will find him, and it will do so in abundance.

Soon, girlfriends will swarm Rentarou like how the US is about to be swarmed by cicadas. An apocalyptic number of them are coming. Believing this to be just hyperbole, Rentarou sets about his daily life and realizes that the level of love in his life is about to skyrocket. However, that newfound affection comes at a lethal cost.
