Umamusume‘s parent company, Cygames Inc., has renewed its partnership with the US-based Breeders’ Cup. The partnership places Umamusume’s parent company as the title sponsor for the Breeders’ Cup Sprint—a $2 million 1,200-meter (approx. 3937′) race for mares and stallions over 3 years. The race will be held on November 1.
Cygames x Breeders’ Cup Details
Operated by Breeders’ Cup Limited since its 1984 inception, the Breeders’ Cup World Championships is an annual G1 event primarily in the United States. The race’s 2025 edition will take place on October 31 and November 1 at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in San Diego, California. The event will feature 14 Grade 1 races with cumulative awards exceeding $34 million USD.
Cygames’ partnership will feature the company’s name in the race’s title, on the starting gate, and on the saddle towels of participating horses. General admission tickets are priced between $80 and $265. Box-seat tickets are available at $504, $531, and $1,590. For a luxury experience with dining options, tickets range from $1,037 to $2,816. Heather Higgins, the Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for Breeders’ Cup Limited, is quoted as saying, “We are very pleased to continue and expand our partnership with Cygames… This enhanced collaboration demonstrates both of our organizations’ shared commitment to delivering world-class entertainment and elevating the sport of horse racing to a global audience.”
Established by CyberAgent in 2011, Cygames Inc. has produced several of otakudom’s most loved mobile games.
