Part two of The Case Study of Vanitas made a strong return this Friday, and creditless versions of the second opening and ending themes are now on available YouTube. The videos were consecutively posted minutes before the premiere of the anime’s second cour. If you want to catch up on the events of the first part, check out the special recap episode.
The second opening theme of The Case Study of Vanitas is titled “Your Name” and is performed by Little Glee Monster. Just like the first opening theme, it features Noé Archiviste and Vanitas on a casual day around the cold and snowy Paris. A lot of the side characters also make short cameos. Meanwhile, the second ending song of the anime is titled “salvation” and is performed by MONONKUL. The ending theme is more pensive as it shows Noé and Vanitas in an hourglass and walking side by side after washing ashore. You can watch the video below:

The Case Study of Vanitas is a steampunk-vampire-themed manga series by Jun Mozuchi. It follows the story of the vampire Noé Archiviste as he joins Vanitas on his quest to cure all curse-bearing vampires. The manga has been serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker magazine since 2015, while Yen Press releases the English versions. Other than the manga, it also has an anime and stageplay adaption. Studio BONES is animating the series.
