After a five-year serialization, the manga adaptation of The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio will conclude with its sixth volume. The announcement came via a Kadokawa listing. Kadokawa will release the sixth and last volume on January 27.
Umemi Makimoto illustrates The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio (Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote) manga. ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Maoh serialized the manga between March 2020 and July 2021, then again from December 2023 to the present.
The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio’s source material is the light novel by Ko Nigatsu (author) and Saba Mizore (illustrations). Animation Studio Connect, known for Strike the Blood, Slow Loop, and Oresuki, adapted the series into a spring 2024 TV anime.
The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio Details
Yumiko Sato dreams about becoming a voice actor. And unlike most, she chases after what she wants. Her skills and voice have helped her land a few jobs. However, the success she envisioned is far away, and that poses a problem. Yumiko is underage, so she needs her mom’s permission to work. If she doesn’t reach her mom’s version of success, she has to quit. So Yumiko crafts a sweet and bubbly persona to hide her gyaru ways and win over more fans. Yet, success remains distant.
However, one day, Yumiko gets an opportunity that can help her reach her goals. She’s offered a radio cohost job with a voice actress she looks up to, the high school-aged Yuhi Yugure. But when the two see each other and realize they’re classmates who don’t get along, things quickly sour.
Miku Itou (Miku Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets) voiced Satou Yumiko, while Moe Toyota (Kanon Matsubara in BanG Dream!) portrays Chika Watanabe (Yuhi Yugure). Crunchyroll streams The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio.
