The Witch and the Beast Anime - Everything You Need to Know

The Witch and the Beast is one of the lesser-known anime of the Winter 2024 season. Despite its well-written story and carefully detailed artwork, the series has failed to come remotely close to any weekly top-10 poll and has yet to gain much momentum. It also doesn’t help not having much of an online presence, seeing as how The Witch and the Beast is towards the bottom of the Winter 2024 anime list regarding followers on social media.

So we decided to make this the hub of everything you need to know about the series itself including the production staff and their previous work, the cast and their former roles, where to watch, and much more. Remember to vote for The Witch and the Beast in our weekly polls!

Source Material

The Witch and the Beast anime is based on the manga written and illustrated by Kousuke Satake. It began serialization in Young Magazine the 3rd on November 6, 2016, and was eventually moved to Monthly Young Magazine on May 20, 2021, where it’s currently being published. There are currently 10 volumes released in both Japanese and English.

The manga is Satake’s first big serialization after he released a one-shot titled Witch and Whim in 2015 under Kodansha’s Magalabo magazine. Unfortunately, The Witch and the Beast manga has been on hiatus for over a year now as of 2024 due to Satake’s health. No official announcement has been made on when the series will continue to resume. Fans can read the first 17 chapters for free on the official K Manga website. The amount of copies in circulation for The Witch and the Beast is currently unknown as of February 2024.
