For Jinshi of The Apothecary Diaries, it’s none other than Mao Mao. But while he can’t have, he can have the Wonderful Works Mao Mao Garden Party Figure. Featuring the beautiful Mao Mao in her best attire, the figure will retail for ~$150 ($148.63).
With paintwork by Akane Nakane, the figure is elegantly sculpted by SAKAKI WORKSHOP with Yamakatsu’s assistance. Apart from highlighting every wrinkle and fold in Mao Mao’s clothes, the 1/7 Wonderful Works Mao Mao Garden Party Figure highlights her spine-chilling stare. The figure’s pre-order period is open until October 10, which gives you enough time to financially prepare.
Based on Natsu Hyuga’s light novel (illustrated by Toko Shino), The Apothecary Diaries was one of last year’s big hits. Norihiro Naganuma directed the anime’s first season and also did the series composition. Yukiko Nakatani is in charge of the character designs. Two manga adaptations are available, one by Nekokurage and the other by Minoji Kurata.
After being kidnapped and sold to the emperor’s palace, Mao Mao, the daughter of a highly skilled apothecary, proves to be worth way more than what she was sold for. Instead of a life of servitude, her knowledge quickly gets her promoted and earns her respect as a go-to person when medical mysteries abound. But a tranquil life is far from her grasp, as her skills and looks soon catch the eyes of those she would much rather avoid (COUGHS Jinshi COUGH). Currently available on Crunchyroll, The Apothecary Diaries returns in 2025 with its second season.
