Tohai – Ura Rate Mahjong Tohai Roku anime has revealed the main voice cast members, as well as an October 2024 premiere. Kohsuke Tanabe, Ai Fairouz and Shunsuke Takeuchi are the first voice actors to join the anime, and you can find their characters’ descriptions below.

Kei (CV: Kohsuke Tanabe)

Character description: A high school student, known as “K of the ICE,” earns money as a substitute mahjong player while pursuing academics. He has an exceptional memory and a theoretical playstyle.

Amina (CV: Ai Fairouz)

Tohai – Ura Rate Mahjong Tohai Roku – Amina Character Design

Character description: A girl from a foreign country who was taken to the underworld, leaving her without any official records or nationality. After meeting Kei, she ends up living with him.

Doujima (CV: Shunsuke Takeuchi)

Character description: A skilled mahjong player in the underworld with exceptional intuition and luck.

Synopsis:
Money, women, organs. Kei, a high school boy, frequents the underground mahjong parlor teeming with desires, earning him the moniker ‘K of the ICE’ in the underworld due to his cold-hearted strategy and stylish gameplay. Rumors also circulate that he keeps a girl at his home.

Tohai – Ura Rate Mahjong Tohai Roku – Anime Teaser Visual | October 2024 Premiere

Tohai is a Japanese manga by Koji Shinasaka. It was originally serialized in AKITASHOTEN’s Young Champion magazine, spanning over multiple series since June 2006. The latest installment is Tohai: Cold Girl, which has been serialized in the magazine since September 2021 and is currently ongoing. The franchise also got a live-action movie in 2013.
