Popular anime Tokyo Ghoul was featured in a new 3D animated trailer for its upcoming collaboration with the real-time simulation racing game, Racing Master, beginning January 31. The trailer features fan favorites like Ken Kaneki, Touka Kirishima, Rize Kamishiro, Shuu Tsukiyama, and Kishou Arima beside cars inspired by the series. The animated trailer’s description describes the collaboration:
Run with the ghouls! From January 31st to February 27th, a collaboration with the TV anime ‘Tokyo Ghoul will be realized! Collaboration characters ‘Ken Kaneki,’ ‘Touka Kirishima’, ‘Rise Kamishiro’, ‘Kishou Arima,’ and ‘Shuu Tsukiyama’ will appear for a limited time. There will be special actions and special voices, and you can enjoy new voices and conversations of the characters in the game! In addition, you can experience the world view in various ways, such as collaboration limited machine kits that can be used with two famous cars, the newly appeared Pagani Huayra BC ’17 and Honda NSX-R ’92,’ collaboration stickers that can be used for machine customization, and more! In addition, there are plenty of exclusive events and collaboration gacha that can only be enjoyed in collaboration! Come on, let’s go with the engine at full throttle!

Racing Master is a smartphone game released by the Chinese tech company NetEase, incorporating real locations and over 100 real licensed cars from companies like Mercedes, Toyota, Bugatti, and more, as players face off in real-time. The game was released in Japan on August 21, 2024, for iOS, Android, and PC.

NetEase also produces anime through its ANICI brand in Japan, with its involvements including The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You, Tsukimichi, Heavenly Delusion, and dozens more.

The Tokyo Ghoul anime by Studio Pierrot adapts Sui Ishida’s manga of the same name, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last September. Per Mangazenkan, the series has over 47 million copies in circulation. Its gaming collaboration with Racing Master follows other anime-game crossovers like JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure & Monster Hunter, whose most recent collaboration this month garnered attention online.
