Tokyo Revengers‘ manga author Ken Wakui and the anime celebrated Chifuyu Matsuno’s birthday on Monday, December 19, with an illustration and a music video of the character’s song “I Believe” in full length.
The official Twitter account of the manga series posted an illustration drawn by Ken Wakui featuring Chifuyu Matsuno and the protagonist Takemichi Hanagaki, both with big smiles on their faces. Chifuyu’s cat named PekeJ can be seen on his right shoulder. The visual post’s caption calls them “the forever buddies.”
The newly-posted music video features the character using scenes from the anime with the full version of “I Believe.” The character’s voice actor Sho Karino performed the song and it was compiled in a CD product for the anime’s character songs titled “TV Anime ‘Tokyo Revengers’ EP02,” which was released in September 2021.
