Vinland Saga Season 2 revealed the preview for the premiere episode, which is set to air on January 9, 2023. The second season of the popular anime will be animated by studio MAPPA. The new season will stream on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
The official synopsis of the episode, titled “Slave,” is available in English:
Einar, a young man from the north of England, lived with his mother and younger sister in a quiet farming town. However, one day the farming village is destroyed by a Viking attack and Einar’s life changes completely. Now, once again, the saga of true warriors begins in a turbulent era…
Shuhei Yabuta is returning as the director. The staff for the first episode includes:

The main cast is returning for the second season. Yuto Uemura will be Thorfinn once again, Kensho Ono is Canute, Yoji Ueda as Leif, Akio Otsuka as Thorkell, Hideaki Tezuka as Ketil, Shinsuke Takeuchi as Einar, Mayumi Sako as Arnheid, Taiten Kusunoki as Thorgil, Fuminori Komatsu as Snake, Muhihito as Sverkel and Yu Hayashi as Olmar.
The theme songs for the anime are “River” by Anonymouz (opening song) and “Without Love” by LMYK (ending theme). Both were introduced in the official trailers; opening in October and ending earlier today.
