Tomo-chan Is a Girl has found itself not only to be the top rom-com of the Winter 2023 season but possibly the top series overall after consistently placing in the top 10 of our weekly polls for the Winter 2023 season. Tomo-chan Is a Girl is studio Lay-duce’s first anime series of the year and is currently the only known series the studio has announced for 2023. After remaining in the top 3 of our weekly polls, Tomo-chan Is a Girl looks to take back its former number-one spot after this week’s episode!
Tomo-chan Is a Girl is an anime adaptation of the original four-panel manga series written and illustrated by Fumita Yanagida. The manga was published on the official Twi4 Twitter account and Saizensen website between 2015-2019 and released a total of 8 volumes. Tomo-chan Is a Girl is directed by Hitoshi Nanba with Megumi Shimizu in charge of the series composition and Shiori Hiraiwa handling the character designs.
