TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You revealed that the series is getting a 4-episode anime titled TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You ~High School Days~” which is slated to premiere on July 12. A key visual, teaser trailer, additional cast members, and theme songs have been revealed. Crunchyroll will stream all four episodes will as they are released in Japan.
The newly announced cast consists of Ayane Sakura as Kaguya Gekko, Rika Nagae as Yaiba Shirogane, Coco Hayashi as Haru Miyako, Hina Yomiya as Mishio Usa, Ayane Matsuda as Hotaru Kurenai, Hitomi Ueda as Hakase Inukai, and Kaori Maeda as Jessie Nikotama. Meanwhile, Saori Hayami will be in charge of singing the opening theme song titled “plan” and Akari Kito, who voices Tsukasa Yuzaki is performing the ending theme song “Guru Guru Live.”
The new anime will focus on Nasa Yuzaki (voiced by Junya Enoki). His junior high teacher asks him to hold a class in an all-girls high school and the class ends with the girls asking Nasa for love advice. Meanwhile, Tsukasa is pretending that she is fine but in reality, she is worried about Nasa being surrounded by girls.
The first season of TONIKAWA anime aired from October until December 2020 with 12 episodes in total while the second season premiered last April and currently has 9 episodes out. Crunchyroll is streaming both episodes as well as special episodes and OVAs and they describe the plot of the series as:
Nasa Yuzaki falls in love at first sight after an encounter with the mysterious Tsukasa. When Nasa earnestly confesses his feelings, she replies, “I’ll date you, but only if we’re married.” Nasa and Tsukasa’s cute and precious newlywed life of love is about to begin!
