6 – Another

Another is a story of a girl named Misaki who died partway through the school year in Yomiyama North Middle School’s class 3-3 in the year 1972. The other students are devastated by the unexpected loss. They decide to carry on as if their classmate were still alive, going so far as to keep the desk in place and bringing it to the graduation ceremony. Yet no one could explain why their classmate, already dead and buried, was present on the graduation photo.

Then, in the spring of 1998, a boy named Kouichi Sakakibara transfers to the class and begins to grow suspicious of the fearful atmosphere permeating the class. In particular, he becomes fascinated with a mysterious, aloof girl with an eye patch who always sits alone, drawing pictures. A girl the rest of the class refuses to acknowledge. A girl named Misaki.

5 – Death Parade

Death Parade is anime based on a 2013 animated short film Death Billiards, created by Yuzuru Tachikawa. He is the creator of Death Parade too.

The plot for the anime is that after death, humans go to either heaven or hell. But for some reason, they arrive at the Quindecim, a bar attended by a white haired bartender Decim. He challenges them to a Death Game, wherein they wager their lives and reveal their true natures. Decim himself is an arbitrator of who loses and who wins, who goes to the void, and who is reincarnated.

4 – Sakamoto Desu ga

Sakamoto Desu Ga is based on the story of Sakamoto, who is the main protagonist of the series. Sakamoto is a very popular and incredibly cool guy who amazes everyone on his first day at high school with his attractiveness, intelligence, and charm. The other boys of the school are jealous of him because of his popularity among the girls at high school.

Despite the strange situations he may be in, normally consisting of pranks set up by the envious male population of the school, Sakamoto always manages to emerge in absolute perfection and as a result makes himself seem even cooler. Many of his actions end in a big laugh for the watchers.

3 – Zankyou no Terror

Tokyo has been decimated by a terrorist attack, in an alternative version of present society with the one and only hint to the identities of the culprits a bizarre video uploaded to the internet. The terror and paranoia start to spread across the population of the city like wildfire. The police are also unable to stop the paranoia in the city.

While all this was going in the world, 2 children out of the blues summon named Nine and Twelve, the two combine to form “Sphinx”. They both work on waking the people up from their slumber – and pull the trigger on this world.

2 – Erased

Erased is a perfect example of a story of Time Travelling and Murder Mystery. A 29-year-old guy named Satoru Fujinuma, an aspiring manga artist who spends most of his time working pizza delivery. One day Satoru finds he has power which makes him go back to time few minutes, which is just enough to save someone’s life who is in danger. Its called “Revival”.

On the day of his mother’s murder, Satoru tries to leap back few minutes into time, but instead leaps back to 20 years in the past. He becomes a 9-old-year boy and comes to a conclusion that to save his mother’s life, he must save someone else i.e. his classmate from her death at the hands of a serial killer.
