Top Male Anime Characters of 2022

The Best Anime Boy of 2022 poll closed a few days ago and the results are here. Although the male character poll tends to trail behind the female one, this year the gap was not so big: 62,529 people voted (compared to 66,658 in the Best Girl one).

Now, on to the results. He might not be the “best boy” in the true sense of the term, but Eren’s character development definitely earned him the title of one of the best-written anime characters of recent years. Although he ranked second in the Winter of 2022, he managed to win the title of the Best Boy of 2022 by a large margin, surpassing everyone’s favorite spy-dad, Loid Forger. Denji came in third (but at least he fulfilled some of his dreams), followed by Kiyotaka Ayanokouji and Ichigo, who made his grand return after ten years.

Full results are available below. Each of these characters ranked in the top five in our seasonal polls and in case some of them appeared more than once in two separate polls we expanded the nominee pool to sixth place.
