The year 2022 had an insane roster of anime, that of course, wouldn’t be as amazing without insanely talented voice actors. From veteran names to promising rookies, we had a chance to enjoy some wonderful performances in the past year. And for the first time, Anime Corner decided to give you an opportunity to pick your favorite voice actors in 2022.
In a poll that ran from January 15 to 22 over 43,000 people voted and showed their support for the 30 talented nominees who showcased their excellent voice acting. The results are finally in, and here are the best seiyuu of 2022, according to your votes!
Top 15 Female Seiyuu of the Year | 2022 Ranking
Aoi Koga beat all the challenges and with her amazing roles, she was voted as the Best Female Seiyuu of 2022. She once again showcased her impeccable voice-acting prowess by reprising her most popular roles: Kaguya Shinomiya in Kaguya-sama: Love is War – Ultra Romantic and Komi Shoko from Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2.
Following her in second place is the two-time Seiyuu of the Season winner, Saori Hayami, who voiced a plethora of roles in 2022 which included Yor Forger in Spy x Family and Ruby Rose in RWBY: Ice Queendom. Meanwhile, Atsumi Tanezaki excitingly made her way to 3rd place, exhibiting her insane vocal range as the adorable Anya Forger from Spy x Family and Sajuna Inui from My Dress-Up Darling.
Hina Suguta claimed the 4th place as she voiced two gyaru characters last year: Marin Kitagawa in My Dress-Up Darling and Touko Kirigaya in BanG Dream! Morfonication. Wrapping up the top 5 is Yoshino Aoyama who played the role of everyone’s favorite introvert Hitori “Bocchi” Goto in Bocchi the Rock!.
Top 15 Male Seiyuu of the Year | 2022 Ranking
Yuki Kaji proved that he’s one of the most prominent voice actors of today as he secured the spot as the Best Male Seiyuu of 2022. With his impressive performance as Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2 and Nishikata in Teasing Master Takagi-san 3, it is no question how he got the top spot. In second place is Natsuki Hanae; the renowned voice actor delivered a thrilling performance as Shinpei Ajiro in Summer Time Rendering and Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc.
While two well-known names occupied the top spots, the third place goes to a newcomer in the scene, Kikunosuke Toya who had a debut of a lifetime. Toya voiced Denji from the highly anticipated Chainsaw Man anime. Another veteran is in the 4th place: Hiro Shimono, who stood firmly as Dabi in My Hero Academia 6, Ryang-ha Song in Love of Kill and Mizuto Irido in My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex.
To complete the top five, veteran voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi resoundingly secured 5th place after voicing the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc and Tokisada Kaga in Shinobi no Ittoki.

Again, 2022 had a stacked line-up of spectacular voice actor performances. All of them continuously put in the effort to bring our favorite characters to life and we can’t thank them enough for the hard work they have done this past year.
