“Cursed energy? Nope, just ridiculously infinite vibes and limitless comfort.” This thought has stuck with me ever since I got to try out the TTRacing Jujutsu Kaisen Gaming Chair – Gojo Edition. It’s extremely comfortable, stylish, and is everything I never knew I needed for my long hours of working and gaming. Not to mention, this review coincides with how I actually just came back from my emotional experience at the JUJUTSU KAISEN: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Movie premiere in Manila, Philippines, so I’m super duper excited about it.
TTRacing is one of the top gaming chair brands for gamers and enthusiasts in Southeast Asia, and they’ve just set up base here in the Philippines at the TTRacing Homegrounds. They value comfort and functionality, and make sure that the aesthetics are just as cool. That’s why when they told me they were going to gift a gaming chair to me, I was very happy.
The Review – Trying the Hybrid Leatherette Variant of TTRacing’s Maxx for the First Time
Out of their JUJUTSU KAISEN collection, the chair that I picked was Gojo’s variant. The box wasn’t much of a struggle to push into the room, and the assembly went smoothly since the parts matched up perfectly, and the instruction manual was very easy to understand. Again, it was a pleasant surprise to be greeted by the congratulations card. When the chair was fully built, the aura and presence of the chair overwhelmed me, and that’s when I finally realized – I have the TTRacing JUJUTSU KAISEN – Gojo Gaming Chair. My anime fan and gamer heart was full of joy. But let’s put aside the fangirling for now and talk about what this chair is all about.
At a glance, the chair’s design is elegant and simply fantastic. It follows the theme of the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc, so the colors play around the dark blue of the Jujutsu High uniform, Gojo’s white hair, the iconic awakening of his Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue, the Reversal: Red, and the destructive Purple Hollow Technique. I particularly love the hint of bright blue, which is from his vibrant blue eyes.
The outline of the embroideries all around the body is the main highlight, from the symbol of Gojo’s round eyeglasses to the cursed energies swirling all around. It’s an obvious reference to the visual effects of his Limitless technique, while the back of the chair is embossed with Gojo’s momentous Purple Hollow technique (Season 2, Episode 4), alongside a big text of his name. The sides also feature some dramatic characters and text, while the edges at the front have a wave of energy that blends from red to blue, putting the overall design into one cohesive piece. The cherry on top is the Tokyo Jujutsu High emblem!
As compared to the plush feel of my Maxx Luffy gaming chair, the Maxx Gojo chair is made out of premium leatherette and cold-cure foam that is described to offer a “different kind of exceptional comfort and durability.” Honestly, I was quite impressed with this. I’m a fan of mesh chairs at heart, but the TTRacing Maxx – Gojo Edition chair is different (just like how the acoustic OP theme surprised me as well). I think the upholstery material contributes to its overall classy look, and the memory foam is firm yet soft where it matters, so the overall comfort level is nothing short of extraordinary. It’s crazy how a chair can be this ridiculously comfy.
Although it’s not as breathable as what I’m used to, the Gojo chair has an amazing lumbar support that I easily found myself settling (or more like, melting) into. The wide seat and shoulders make for a snug fit, and the large back frame and 4D-adjustable arm rests are not awkward in keeping me supported and upright.
The ultra-durable aluminum alloy wheelbase is so sturdy that the balance of the chair is really solid, and it doesn’t feel like I’d tip over when swiveling around or using the 155° recline feature. Right now, I worry about the lifespan of the stitches since that was one of the issues with my previous chairs, but so far, I think it’ll be alright because it looks like it was done very meticulously.
The extra lower back pillow is probably the MVP here. It’s soft and plush, and it’s one of those things that makes life easier and better. Although the size of the Maxx chair may be a bit too big for me, like how the neck pillow needs to be pulled lower, I have no problem with it since the adjustability of the other features is very friendly to whatever I need. It’s already been a week since I got the chair, and my experience has been amazing so far. I also discovered that my Gojo plushie fits perfectly by my side, so I could not be any happier.
Material choice is often a revealing part of a chair’s construction, but for the TTRacing Maxx Gaming Chair, everything feels high-quality and refined. A good chair should be comfortable and durable. It needs to go the extra mile to take care of your posture and comfort during your long hours of intense gaming. It’s something you’d want to look the part, feel the part, keep you in an excellent seating position for long days, and of course, wallet-friendly. Personally, the TTRacing Maxx Gaming Chair checks all the marks; it has infinite style, limitless comfort, and most of all, it is Satoru Gojo. If you also agree, then this chair might be for you, too.
Final Thoughts – Is the TTRacing Maxx Jujutsu Kaisen Gaming Chair Worth It?
All in all, the TTRacing Maxx Gaming Chair – Gojo Edition is an impressive chair. It’s about the same good experience I had with Luffy, with the difference being the material. They’re not as breathable as an office mesh chair, but if I had to describe their highlights, it’s that the AirThreads Fabric chair is more cozy, while the Hybrid Leatherette chair gives a more classy vibe. So yes, I think this chair is definitely worth it, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Still, there are pros and cons to consider, like preferences, lifestyle, and weather conditions. To help you with that, here is are summary of my review on the TTRacing Maxx JUJUTSU KAISEN Gaming Chair – Gojo Edition:
- Hybrid Leatherette. Although the body is thick, the chair is dressed in faux-leather-plush-velour with cold-cure foam that provides a classy, firm, and comfortable seating experience. It’s easier to clean stains as compared to a fabric chair. Although heat can be trapped during long hours, the ergonomic experience that the chair provides is a game-changer.
- Ergonomic Lumbar and Neck Support. The chair has a wide, open-ended seat base, while the uplifting backrest eases you into a well-balanced seating position. The memory foam, especially the back and neck pillow, is soft yet solid where it matters, perfect for intense hours of working and gaming. As someone who sits, types, and writes all day, the support is life-changing.
- Spacious and Comfy. Out of all the TTRacing models, the Maxx chair is the most premium with a size that fits those between the height range of 170 to 200 cm. It’s a big chair! Although I’m 160 cm (5’3″), I still find it very comfortable and quite snug. I have my own footstool, so if you’re like me and like to fold your legs, this chair lets you do that comfortably.
- 155-degree Full Recline. The multi-tilt mechanism is perfect for those who like having a more relaxed vibe while sitting. It’s also good for power-naps!
- 4D Adjustable Armrests. Soft cushions that you can move up, down, left, or right, depending on which angles you prefer to rest your arms– a small detail into your comfort that goes a long way.
- Strong Wheelbase. The aluminium base is one of the highlights of the chair since it effortlessly carries the entire weight of this big chair, myself included. It rolls so smoothly, too, not to mention the lock features.
- Affordability. For its price of PHP 16,499.00 (original price of PHP 21,599.00, about USD 384 ), it’s not as crazy expensive as the others, and is worth the investment for your comfort.
- Style. And lastly, no explanations needed for the throne of limitless (fangirling) power — it’s Satoru Gojo!
Just like what I said back in my ONE PIECE chair review, investing in a good chair means investing in yourself, your health, and your quality of life. In the end, your chair companion is more than just a piece of ordinary furniture; it should be THE chair to comfortably support and hold you while you pursue your work, hobby, and lifestyle. And if you’re an anime fan, well, it’s the perfect combination of achieving adult self-care and making the anime kid in you feel happy.
