Weekly Young Jump has released a special promotional video to commemorate the release of the final volume of Umamusume: Cinderella Gray. The almost three-minute-long video depicts Oguri Cap’s journey from Kasamatsu to the grand Tokyo G1 races she won throughout her career. The video features various panels from the manga, real-world photographs/videos, and narration by Oguri Cap (Tomoyo Takayanagi). The video’s monologue concludes with a heartfelt ‘thank you’ before the promotion for the manga’s 23rd and final volume appears.
Umamusume: Cinderella Gray Details
Umamusume: Cinderella Gray follows the racing career of Oguri Cap. A country umamusume born with fragile legs, Oguri Cap never dreamt of racing in the big leagues or having a racing career in Tokyo. To her, merely being able to run was a miracle. However, when a school race placed her in a friendly competition with her region’s rising star, the victory that followed became the spark that lit Oguri’s prestigious career. With a transfer to Tokyo and various G1 races quickly following, Oguri Cap quickly became one of the most celebrated names in uma racing.
Masafumi Sugiura wrote the Umamusume: Cinderella Gray manga. It was produced by Junnosuke Ito and featured illustrations by Taiyo Kuzumi. Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha) serialized the manga between June 2020 and December 2025.
Shueisha released the 23rd and final tankobon volume of the manga on March 18.
CygamesPictures adapted the Umamusume: Cinderella Gray manga into a two-part TV anime. Anime Digital Network, Amazon Prime, Netflix, and REMOW’s It’s Anime YouTube channel stream the anime.
Oguri Cap is a playable character in the Japanese and Global version of the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby mobile game.
