It has been a year since Cygames released the Umamusume: Pretty Derby game on February 24, 2021, and they released a special 7-minute anime video to celebrate the 1st anniversary. It features two characters Kitasan Black (CV: Hinaki Yano) and Satono Diamond (CV: Hina Tachibana), who also perform the ending song “Ambitious World”. You can watch the special video below:

The game’s 1st anniversary special anime video was directed by Kei Oikawa, who also directed both of the Umamusume TV anime seasons. Studio KAI was the animation studio in charge of the production, and they previously animated the 2nd season of the show (P.A. Works was in charge of season 1).
The Umamusume: Pretty Derby game launched for iOS and Android on February 24, 2021 and for PC on March 10, 2021. Crunchyroll streams both TV anime seasons for the multimedia franchise, and they describe the story:
This is a tale of a world where “horse girls”; with glorious names and incredible running abilities live alongside humanity. Horse girl Special Week has moved from the country to the city to attend Tracen Academy. There, she and her classmates compete to win the Twinkle Series and earn the title of “The County’s #1 Horse Girl.”
