Umayuru Full Gate! Umamusume’s Next ONA Premieres in September

Umayuru Full Gate! will be the next Umamusume: Pretty Derby anime. The short-form (three-minute) ONA will debut on the franchise’s YouTube channel this September. Cygames has released a visual for the upcoming anime and listed AtoriE as the studio. However, the company did not provide any information on the show’s production cast. The premiere will include subtitles in English, Korean, and Traditional Chinese. The franchise’s VAs will reprise their roles.

Scooter Films animated the original 24-episode Umayuru ONA, as well as the follow-up, 4-episode Umayuru: Pretty Gray ONA. AtoriE is a relatively new studio. They’ll adapt the upcoming I’m Dating a Dark Summoner and Ghost Meets Gal! short-form anime.

Unlike the franchise’s previous anime, Umamusume: Cinderella Gray, Umayuru Full Gate! will take a more playful approach to the franchise’s stories.

Cygames, Inc. announced the Umamusume: Pretty Derby mobilegame in 2016. However, the game missed its 2018 Japanese release date and was instead released in February 2021. Cygames later released the game globally in June 2025. Since then, Umamusume: Pretty Derby has become one of the company’s most profitable titles. The mobile game has since been adapted into several manga, light novels, anime, OVAs, ONAs, and a theatrical film.

Both the game and the franchise have been so well received that they’re credited with starting a global resurgence in the popularity of horse racing.

Umayuru Full Gate! focuses on anthropomorphized versions of real-world racehorses who aim to compete and win the prestigious Twinkle Series.
