Vinland Saga season 2 is coming in January 2023, and the official Twitter account for the anime shared the character design for Olmar, who will be having a ‘critical’ role in the sequel. Yu Hayashi is voicing the character, and you can also see him in the latest trailer:

The director Shuhei Yabuta commented on his importance in the story, saying he will mature a lot. The character designer and animation director Abiru Takahiko also commented, saying he enjoyed drawing him and felt less pressure as compared to some other characters. You can read both of their comments in the image above. Shuhei Yabuta said that the staff for the anime would be returning to animate the sequel at studio MAPPA, and the staff for season 1 included:
