Inspired by her favorite book, Elaina ventures out to see the world she’s read so much about. Like a leaf on the wind, she travels from one country to another, looking to sate her inquisitiveness and searching for new experiences. She’s confronted by humanity in all its forms, whether strange, bizarre, or emotional. Exploration and curiosity drive her journey. Where to next, Elaina?
Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina (Majo no Tabitabi) is a Japanese light novel series written by Jogi Shiraishi and illustrated by Azure. SB Creative are publishing the novel in their GA Novel label. There is also a manga adaptation with art by Itsuki Nanao, which has been serialized online since November 2018 via Square Enix’s online manga magazine Manga Up!. The author Jogi Shiraishi notably asked the staff to avoid fanservice in the original anime to keep it more natural, and he also said that Elaina likely won’t have a romantic interest.
