Watari-kun’s ****** Is about to Collapse (Watari-kun no xx ga Hokai Sunzen) anime revealed two new trailers and key visual, introducing the theme songs, more voice cast, and a July 4 premiere date. The anime previously revealed the first teaser trailer.
The voice cast is led by Shuichiro Umeda as Naoto Watari, with Yumika Yano as Satsuki Takehana and Yurie Agoma as Ishihara Murasaki. The anime is directed by Takashi Naoya, with series composition by Tatsuya Takahashi and character designs by Shoko Yasuda. Studio Staple Entertainment is in charge of the animation.

The two new PVs introduce the theme songs. The opening theme song is “Yurei ni Naritai” by Yuika, and you can check out a preview below.

Naru Narumi writes and draws the Watari-kun’s ****** Is About to Collapse Japanese manga. The series was first serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine from August 2014 to January 2015, before continuing in Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine from November 2015 to September 2023. It ended with a total of 16 volumes, and Kodansha USA licensed it in English.
The story follows Naoto Watari, who lives with his sister at their aunt’s house after losing their parents two years earlier. Known for his strong attachment to his sister, Naoto doesn’t mind the teasing he gets. However, when his childhood friend-turned-rival Satsuki transfers to his school, his peaceful life takes a sudden turn.
