Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf Anime Reveals New Visual, Cast, Theme Songs, January 2025 Release Date

Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf (Nihon e Yokoso Erufu-san) TV anime has revealed a new key visual, along with two additional cast members, theme songs information, and a January 2025 release date. Studio ZERO-G is animating, with Toru Kitahata as the director. Joining the voice cast are:

  • Yumi Uchiyama as Wridra
  • Rico Sasaki as Mewi

Rico Sasaki will also perform the opening theme song “Palette Days.” The ending song will be “Yummy Yummy,” performed by the NIJISANJI VTubers Kaede Higuchi and Kanae.

You can see the new anime visual below, which features Wridra along with the main characters Kazuhiro and Marie.

Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf – New Anime Visual | January 2025 Release Date

Kazuhiro is voiced by Yusuke Kobayashi, with Kaede Hondo voicing Marie, They were introduced in the previously released trailer, which you can watch below.

Besides the director Toru Kitahata, the main staff for the Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf anime includes Aya Yoshinaga in charge of the script and series composition and Madoka Hirayama as the character designer/chief animation director.

Makishima Suzuki writes the Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf (Nihon e Yokoso Erufu-san) light novel, which features illustrations by Yappen. It began serialization online in 2017 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, before being acquired by Hobby Japan and getting the first light novel volume published in August 2018 under their HJ Novels imprint. There is also a manga adaptation by Shimo Aono. Both the light novel and manga have been licensed in English by J-Novel Club.

The story follows Kazuhiro Kitase, whose main hobby is sleeping. Ever since his childhood, he would visit a different world in his dreams, where he met a certain elf. One day, however, he wakes up to find the elf next to him in real life. Now he has adventures in the real world, teaching Ms. Elf about Japan.
